Symptoms

Very few people in the world today have not been affected personally by cancer. Some of the most popular charitable organizations in the world revolve around finding cures for cancer in all of its forms, such as breast cancer, leukemia and lung cancer. Raising awareness for these diseases is often the paramount goal of the organization, in the hopes that raising awareness can both garner more necessary research funds to end cancer, but also hoping that more aware individuals will recognize cancer symptoms and seek medical attention, perhaps saving valuable time that could possibly save their life
CancerSymptoms.org is dedicated to helping you find out more information about various symptoms you may have that could lead to early detection of cancer, or are symptoms of cancer treatment that you are already receiving. The website also features a number of resources to help you detect cancer earlier, as well as tips to help you cultivate a lifestyle that could prevent cancer altogether.
Nausea from cancer treatment, a common side effect, does not usually indicate a problem in and of itself; nevertheless, you should tell your doctor if you experience it. Today, medicine can go a long way in preventing and treating this unpleasant result of cancer treatment.
Chemotherapy can often cause nausea. Not all chemotherapy drugs have this effect, so definitely discuss with your physician whether your particular drugs may make you prone to nausea. Women, especially those under the age of fifty, more often tend to experience episodes of chemotherapy-induced nausea. Females who suffered morning sickness while pregnant also tend to have nausea while undergoing chemotherapy. Patients with a history of motion sickness may more likely fall prey to nausea during treatment as well.

Carcinogen to cancer

A carcinogen is any substance,  that is an agent directly involved in causing cancer. This may be due to the ability to damage the genome or to the disruption of cellular metabolic processes. Several radioactive substances are considered carcinogens, but their carcinogenic activity is attributed to the radiation, for example gamma rays and alpha particles, which they emit. Common examples of carcinogens are inhaled asbestos, certain dioxins, and tobacco smoke. Cancer is a disease in which damaged cells do not undergoprogrammed cell death.
After the carcinogen enters the body, the body makes an attempt to eliminate it through a process called bio transformation. The purpose of these reactions is to make the carcinogen more water-soluble so that it can be removed from the body. But these reactions can also convert a less toxic carcinogen into a more toxic carcinogen.
Tobacco smoke contains over 4000 chemical compounds, many of which are carcinogenic or otherwise toxic. One of these is a compound marketed as a rat poison.Cooking food at high temperatures, for example grilling or barbecuing meats, can lead to the formation of minute quantities of many potent carcinogens that are comparable to those found in cigarette smoke .Charring of food resembles coking and tobacco pyrolysis, and produces similar carcinogens
DNA is nucleophilic, therefore soluble carbon electrophiles are carcinogenic, because DNA attacks them. For example, some alkenes are toxicated by human enzymes to produce an electrophilic epoxide. DNA attacks the epoxide, and is bound permanently to it. This is the mechanism behind the carcinogenicity of benzo[a]pyrene in tobacco smoke, other aromatics, aflatoxin and mustard gas.

Future Medicines

One of the two therapies, a monoclonal antibody called pertuzumab and developed by Genentech , targets the HER2 protein, the same pathway targeted by the widely used breast-cancer drug trastuzumab  In the trial, published in the New England Journal of Medicine and reported on 8 December at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in Texas, women with metastatic breast cancer given both pertuzumab and trastuzumab, along with a chemotherapy drug, showed a median 6.1-month lull in the progression of their disease.
The second medicine, an already-approved pill called everolimus  developed by Novartis, works by depleting oestrogen by inhibiting a protein called mTOR. In a study of 724 post-menopausal women with hormone-dependent breast cancer, women who took the drug combined with a hormone therapy medicine called exemestane went a median of 4.2 months longer without a worsening of their tumours than women who took the hormone therapy alone. The findings were also presented at the San Antonio meeting.
The results give a boost to efforts to design cancer therapies by targeting mutations in a specific tumour gene. AsNature reported in September, researchers achieved similarly promising results with an experimental treatment for melanoma, targeting a mutated version of the protein B-RAF. In addition to trastuzumab, two other genetically targeted cancer therapies, imatinib and erlotinib , have been approved.

Cancer caused by "carbohydrates, sugars".

A new study published in the journalCancer Epidemiology, Mile Markers, and Preventionis presenting evidence of the link between the consumption of refined carbohydrates and cancer. This case-controlled study looked at the dietary habits of over 1,800 women in Mexico, and found that those who got 57% or more of their total energy intake from carbohydrates showed a 220% higher risk of breast cancer than women with more balanced diets.

This study shows that foods with high glycemic index values -- that is, foods that more quickly raise blood sugar levels in thehuman body-- actually accelerate the growth ofcancer cells and tumors in the human body. But many people in the general public still do not know that consuming refined carbohydrates causes cancer, and thus they continue to drink soft drinks containinghigh-fructose corn syrup, they continue to eat breakfast cereals loaded with sugars and corn syrup, and they continue to eat large amounts ofwhite flour in products like pancakes, breads, pastries, cookies, and crackers, oblivious to the idea that they are actually giving themselves cancer.
So, the real story here is to avoid processed carbohydrates as much as you can. At the same time, avoid chemical additives that are found inprocessed foods, especially artificial sweeteners and chemical taste enhancers. The foods that you should be consuming to support outstanding human health are the same ones we've been talking about here for years, and those are natural foods found in nature, such as whole grains, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, and healthy oils

Definition

The growth of abnormal cells in different parts of over body including inside the body which can be controlled if it is found in the early stage and may not be controlled later on.These abnormal growth is medically called  as malignant neoplasm. Some call it as cell growth in some parts of the body. They are like invaders. These cancer cells splits and multiply affecting the nearby parts. They can be spread through bloodstreams.

Some of the cancers are not dangerous while most of them are.The cells of our own body will try to kill the unhealthy cancerous cells.Cancer occurs when there is a problems in the genes of a cell that will prevent the controls from functioning properly.Cancer can be caused by inheritance and through the various irregular life activities. The fault in two type of gene can cause cancer. They are oncogenes which drive the growth of cancer cells and tumor suppressor genes, which prevent cancer from developing.
It is very difficult to find the cause of a particular cancer and to find the growth of cancer in the body.Frequent check ups should be done to determine this abnormal growth and precautions should be taken to control it.There is no particular medicine for cancer cells whereas some claims there are.
Prayers are given to those affected by this disease in various parts of world. Some claims miraculous escape from these diseases.Any way it is important to live a better life to run away from these diseases.
